Zane is our lead actor, bringing with him experience in short films and theatre. Zane has dedicated considerable time to his acting craft. He made the decision to decline an offer to study at the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts in order to star in the film, and we are thrilled with his casting and performance.

A stand-up comic by trade, Jake exudes all the confidence one could ask for. With a background in film and television studies at Swinburne University of Technology and appearances in several short films, Jake had no trouble bringing his humour and charisma on screen.

As the only cast member with no prior acting experience, Tobias, a Newcastle local discovered by Cameron, surprised everyone with his natural presence on screen and a complete understanding of his character. It was clear from the start that Tobias was destined to thrive in his role.
Baylee brings a wealth of experience to the world of acting, with a portfolio that includes feature films, short films, and commercials that have been broadcast worldwide. His extensive experience was a valuable and welcome addition to the cast.

Sam has appeared in television, short films, and commercials, with one of the most exciting highlights being the short film 'Not Today,' which was recently selected and screened at the Cannes Film Festival. Since Cooked Sam has worked in films including Ruby’s Choice and Door Stories.

With a master's degree in Music and exceptional skills as a bass player, Arne has been an integral part of the Sydney music scene for over a decade, performing with artists such as Bin Juice, Velvet Trip and Dominic Breen. His extensive experience and undeniable talent has undoubtedly elevated the film.

Clint Topic from Sawtooth Studios brought his vast experience for recording, mixing and mastering, contributing to content for established professionals including National Geographic, SBS, the 2018 Commonwealth Games and producing music for Novocastrian Indie Rock band the Vacations. Clint worked on the film’s sound mixing and mastering, foley and ADR in post-production.

With experience with all aspects of post-production sound design, foley, ADR and sound mixing, Hamish Ragg worked on the film’s sound in post-production prioritising sound mixing and mastering, foley and ADR. Hamish has had experience with location recording for film and advertising, voice acting and video game sound design.

Cameron met Kate Grant whilst studying Communications at the University of Newcastle. Kate brought her skills to the team as she helped assemble and refine the storyline in post-production. As editor, Kate worked with Cameron to create a seamless final product.
Anthony Marsh has worked as a sound designer and mixer in the film industry for years working on several short films, documentaries, television series and feature films. Anthony is currently helping curate the sound design for The Film Cooked at his local Production Station Studio in Newcastle.

Oliver Top, graduated from Australian Film Television and Radio School, was the VFX maestro for the film and turned imagination into on-screen magic. During the sweltering hot summer of 2017, he finalisted at Tropfest Jr. where he met Hugo Morgan and then Alessio Mazza shortly after. He is also currently developing his first feature film which he plans to shoot in the summer of 2024.
